Good one Frank. To me the human body is a magnificent creation and to pollute it with pretty much non removable pictures makes them look like they have some sort of mental disorder. Reads like Jason lost it years ago and thinks that he's Mr. Pretty Boy. Most folks don't realize body types are in many ways genetic. Did you know that most men have their fat OVER their abs and some lucky others have it UNDER their abs? Guess who's abs show the most? I figure that as long as I can see my privates without a mirror, my abs are fine. It's that so many men look like they are getting ready to birth triplets that makes me wonder now days if they are. I'd get your book but right now there is a stack of 10 on my nightstand to read and I keep putting them off because of this medium! As for an answer to this shit? At this juncture of time, who knows.
Oh and I remember the good kind of 'boding' about the Internet equalizing and democratizing the people of the world.
Well, yes and no is what was happening. But it was mostly commercialization that gripped the "Interwebs" (you can guess I'm in the States now) and now it's censorship in the guise of protecting feelings as if people don't know enough to go to a different website if they're offended.
Going to preferred websites is what we do to validate our 'beliefs' for crying out loud. We know how to protect our precious prejudices and world view and don't need laws to do it for us.
This is just fantastic! I can relate to the ideologies stuck in our subconscious hiding behind that nice memory of the beach and your mother going on about something and you're only sort of listening. GD, what was she teaching me when I was watching the guy swimming parallel to my position? Now it's there and my mother learned to hate Protestants (Devout Roman Catholic she was) and her husband she was mad at was like his father the Greek, what was she on about? Damn, I'm part Greek and I'm supposed to think we're all A-holes... good for the ole self esteem.
