That was a relatable post. I've been having a headache for years and it's not getting any better, and I started feeling like my brain chemistry is getting permanently altered.
I always felt the same about therapy. Howard Stern said he had the same fear but swore it made him even more creative. Look at what a cunt he is now. re fitness and creativity: Bukowski was a slob, Hem was strong but husky, had lifelong hypertension, Selby was brain fried from experimental tuberculosis medication, Fante's diabetes led to the amputation of his legs .. there's definitely a theme there. Insightful and funny as always FTB.
I started writing long after my class A days and Carl Cox tub thumping. Carl Cox! Now there's a blast from the past. I once watched that fucker on new years eve in Brixton stop his set because his fucking tape had ran out. Stay healthy, and take up a dangerous past time like serial killing for an injection of creativity.
Yes, as you've already recognised, writers should die young and unhealthy. And poor.
But you can always move to screenwriting, and recover your depression and alcoholism. If you want to cheer up briefly, check out my post on Independence Day.
