I'm usually completely lost on the internet. But at least when I see Frank T Bird's comics I know I'm on the internet. Sometimes I have trouble hitting the like button cuz I'm laughing too hard.

Thanks, brother. Feel like you and me are a dying breed, Mikey. People seem to have a terrific interest in commenting on memes, but great articles get much less attention. Substack is becoming just another feed app. Hard to maintain inspiration.

For ages I wrote on this long form forum, thinking the cavalry would be arriving soon to show me how to truly think and write. It took about a decade for me to realize that there is no cavalry. Very few people are dedicated to fleshing out a thought, and even fewer are dedicated to getting the word down. We’re definitely a dying breed. I take inspiration wherever I can get it, and this piece of yours gave me some juice. It’s awesome dude. Read it twice and I’ll read again most likely.

I stopped reading The Edge of the Sun last night to read this post. I would've posted a picture to prove it, but I was too tired, or too stupid. Let's go with tired, yeah. I can only assume the Uncle Paul/molestation scene happens later in the book. 👍

I was scoffing at this very thing whilst at Mr. Sainsbury's a couple of days ago.

Then I picked up a book seemingly curated by Gillian Anderson about what women fantasise about: one woman, two brothers, all but airtight—apparently.

Refreshing AF 😊

I was talking with someone the other day about ‘creative writing courses’ saying that I thought it was a contradiction. That a course can only dull a person’s creativity as it starts from a premise of applying rules and structures.
