In the end, the public decides. If yiur work is shit, and the characters crap and the dialogue stinks and nobody reads it...then there ain't nobody censoring or giving a fuck how brave you are.

So then it boils down to publishers. They're the gatekeepers. They're the ones not pushing creativity and sending bland out into the mainstream while visionary authors sell their soul to Amazon hoping for a dime and a chance of success in the mainstream.

Who the heck was it that said something like "I don't discriminate, I hate everyone" ?? I can relate sometimes...but I attempt to temper my sharp tongue, as it has gotten me into so much trouble!

"And yeah, we are responsible for improving the world, whether you want to take it on or not. "

Disagree. This where the rot comes from. Your goal as a writer is to make people wanna turn the page. Nothing more. Most people can't even take a leak without pissing on themselves, let alone change the world. Same goes for writers, which I am one. The end.

If you love writing. Do it.

If you think readers are going to hate it for whatever reason - that's their problem NOT yours.

If you're writing to make money - well then that changes the dynamics. The writing becomes manipulative.

If you're writing from the heart - the world changes. You change the world. You're in this category . You create laughter. The language is colourful. Insanely funny - and underneath all that a deep message. Not many can harness this talent. Don't lose it.

I read a lot. Sometimes I respond - who I deem wank worthy. Most times I delete. Why? The title, the writers bio, first paragraph, tells me which platform the author writes from, the words used, the target and what the expectations are.

I don't want followers. I pick who I follow. I'm interested in writings I can learn from and share some of that with others.

You're teaching me black humour. You remind me of George Carlin. He was very clever with words. Words are magical.

Where the hell did you come from? Like a hot, humid breeze on a hot, humid night. Laughed my ass off and now need a sphincter reduction. You've made many of my complaints about literature and risk taking so now I don't have to. Thanks a lot, Frank.
