Men sitting down to pee have been the butt of jokes for ... well, probably millennia. They're called "sitzpinklers" among other things less kind. But a few years ago, I began compiling a list of "When it's OK for a man to sit down to pee."
It's incomplete, but here is what I came up with:
1. When you're too drunk to stand up.
2. You don't want to wake up your wife by turning on the light and you can't even see the toilet.
3. "Water on water makes a sound for all to hear, but water on porcelain will never reach an ear."
4. You need an excuse to hide from the boss, and just sit and do nothing for a few minutes.
